Jump Rope for Heart
This year, Jump Rope for Heart really skipped a beat. It was scheduled for Thursday, January 29th. However, Pillar was able to have two snow days in a row, so we had it the following Monday. February 1st. We all assembled in the gym for the directions and then began the fun! First the children were divided into their families at a jump rope station. They rotated through the different activities, and the teachers even joined in the fun!
One of the four stations was the relay race. Mrs. Krippene hosted and helped those who didnŐt know how to jump. The next station was group jump, where we jumped together. The following station was free jump, where you could experiment on any kind of jump you wanted. After that was Mrs. HughesŐ snake and limbo station. The Mamma Mia! music helped us limbo perfectly!! After all the excitement, we settled down for some delicious pretzels, fruit snacks, and water. We raised a total of $1610 dollars!! Thank you Pillar students, parents, and teachers for helping us raise this amazing amount and for cooperating in this healthy school activity! ~Panther Prints v12i3 |
