First Companion Day 2005

Our first Companion Day held on October 14 was a day anxiously awaited by all students. Older students looked forward to reading with the younger children and the younger children looked forward to spending time with the “big kids”. Treats were brought to share along with favorite books to read. The younger students loved hearing the older students use different, imaginative voices for different characters in stories, “bringing them to life”. The eighth graders companions were kindergarteners, the seventh graders companions were the fourth graders and the second graders, the sixth graders companions were the first graders, and the fifth graders companions were the third graders. All the classmates had a wonderful time, reading great books, eating scrumptious treats, and just having fun. Everyone is looking forward to our next Companion Day in December. Panther Prints v9i1
