School Supplies Needed!!!

Sadly, there are thousands of St. Louis area children attending school every day without basic school supplies such as pencils, paper, and markers.  These children do not lack the desire to learn, only the tools… and YOU can help!

Our Lady of the Pillar is sponsoring a supply drive for KidSmart, a free school supply store for teachers who serve kids in need.  Give a “Gift of Heart” in the 2007-2008 school year by donating much needed school supplies.  Donations will be collected throughout the summer and during the next school year.  A plastic bin will be located in the hall, just outside the school office for your convenience.  Please drop off donations during regular business hours. 

The top ten needed supplies are:  pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, Fiskar scissors, supply boxes, spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, backpacks and children’s books.  New or gently used sports equipment can be used as well.  Please consider picking up a few extra items when shopping for back to school supplies.  Thank you.
