Calls to report absences can be made at any time. Please call 993-3353, extension 100, and leave your message.
All visitors and volunteers, including scheduled Cafeteria and Learning Center volunteers, must report to the school office and sign in. For the safety and security of our students, no one is permitted to go directly to classrooms, library, cafeteria or playground. Please note that any parent dropping off a forgotten lunch or other item should bring it to the Office. Please do not leave lunches in the Cafeteria.
Grades K through 8 are in session from 7:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., which includes a forty-five minute lunch and recess break. The school building is opened at 7:30 a.m. Students congregate in the cafeteria until 7:50. Students will go to classes at 7:50 a.m. with tardies beginning at 7:55 a.m. Any child arriving after 7:55 must report to the school office for a tardy slip. A written excuse is necessary for each tardy. If you arrive at 7:56 or later, you must enter the school by the west security door and report to the office.
Students in Grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 eat lunch at 11:05 a.m.
Students in Grades K, 1, 2, 3, and 4 eat lunch at 11:45 a.m
Please line up for after school pickup as indicated on the map and place your laminated carpool number in your window so it can be clearly seen by the safety patrol member. Keep the line moving and do not stop until you reach the car in front of you. A safety patrol member will escort your child/children to your car shortly after your carpool number has been announced. You do not need to leave your car. Children must exit by the Parish Life Center main entrance. As you complete your pick up, you may leave the area carefully so that the line can move forward. In the interest of maintaining a safe, efficient and orderly dismissal from school we ask that Chaminade siblings of OLP students do not wait for their carpool in the area designated for OLP students. Chaminade students with siblings at OLP must wait for their carpool by the Parish Life Center next to the statue. The carpool line will move in that direction so they may be picked up safely. If there is a note on file in the office with parental permission for an OLP student to be released after school to a Chaminade sibling, the Chaminade sibling must wait by the Parish Life Center (by the statue) and a safety patrol member will bring the student to meet them. We cannot have siblings wandering our halls after school hours.

DO NOT EXIT FROM THE NORTH ENTRANCE DURING THE FOLLOWING TIMES: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Exit only by the south entrance (nearer church).
On days where there is a noon dismissal, do not exit from the north entrance from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Emergency cards, medication administration forms (if needed), the Physical Education Activity information form, and the walk/bike to school permission forms were included in the Back to School Packet and should be in the office by August 18th. It is imperative that the office has this information on file.
Students will be supervised from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The doors will remain locked until 7:30 a.m. There is no supervision before 7:30 a.m. and after 3:15 p.m. Students should not come before that time which includes leaving them off and waiting outside without supervision.
School dismisses at 3:00 p.m. Students MUST be picked up at that time. For safety reasons, children may not be on the school grounds and/or in the building without supervision before and after school hours. Students who are not picked up by 3:15 p.m. will be signed in to the after school care program for supervision until a parent or person designated by the parent picks them up.
Students will not be allowed to leave school at any time with another parent, student or carpool unless that student's parent has sent a note to the school office notifying the office of the change in pick up.
Students who have their parents' permission to ride their bike, walk home or wait for their ride at Chaminade with a sibling next to the Parish Life Center, MUST have a permission note on file in the school office.
In case of inclement weather, we will either use the "snow schedule" or cancel school. The "snow schedule" means that classes will begin one hour later at 8:50 a.m.
For "snow schedule" or cancellation of classes for an entire day, listen to KMOX, Channel 2, and Channel 5. We will also use a telephone chain and the automated phone call list to notify parents.
In the event that school should be dismissed early, KMOX and KTVI will carry these announcements. Parents are free to pick up their children if they feel it is necessary due to hazardous weather conditions.
