Catholic Schools’ Week is always a fun and exciting week for everyone. There are daily planned special activities. Fr. Tobin and Deacon Georges began the week with a joyous celebration on Sunday. They called us to open our hearts to God even more during the week. The children contributed greatly to make this Mass a special one to remember. The front cover for the program was designed by a fifth grade student. The idea for the cover was Have Faith. The Sunday choir, youth choir, and bell choir filled the church with beautiful music. The servers did an excellent job.
Father Tobin gave a wonderful Homily, about how lucky we are to have a Catholic Education, which enriches our lives. After Communion, Sister Therese Marie presented a framed Distinguished Graduate certificate to Doctor Joseph W. Spraul from the class of 1980. The Distinguished Graduate is a person who shares Christian values and calling with their community.
After the Mass, everyone toured the school and enjoyed refreshments in the Parish Life Center. The halls of the school were vibrant with a rainbow of colors on the drawings and designs of the students. This Art Fair has become a semi-annual event at the beginning of Catholic Schools’ Week. The artistic works of the students were created through the guidance of Mrs. Kruse.
