There were many great authors during the late 1990s. The famous book Rent was written and made famous during the 1990s. Jonathan Larson won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama with his book Rent in 1996. Another popular book that won the Nebula Award was The Moon and the Sun written by Vonda Mclntyre. Another good book was Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse. This book won the Newbery Medal for children's literature in 1998.In 1999 a very popular book was To Say Nothing to the Dog. It won the Hugo Award for best novel and was nominated for the Nebula Award.
