1990-1994

The people of the ninties saw the eighties as lame or uncool. The people of the ninties had a similar attitude to the 80s as the 80s had toward the 70s.

In 1991 Grunge Rock replaced Hair Metal (youth music).

Pogs became a popular game to play in Canda and the U.S. The game of pogs was played by two players and both had a collection of pogs. The players would contribute and equal number of pogs to build a stack of pogs that would be used during the game. Then the players would take turns throwing their "slammer" and would get to keep the pogs turned face up due to their throw. The player with the mos pogs when there no longer is a stack wins.

Shows popular in the 90s were Generation X, Beavis & Butthead, Roseanne, and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was the most popular show in the ninties.

Video games reached a milestone that was called the "3D era". The releases of the Sony Playstation and Nintendo 64.

Yahoo!, Ebay, and many online chatrooms began to appear in the mid-1990s.
