President Herbert Hoover brought to the Presidency a reputation for public service as an engineer and administrator. He was elected in 1930 for President of the United States. He wrote many articles and books. He was very talented and smart. At age 90, he died in New York City in 1933.

 

 

 

 

President Franklin D. Roosevelt took over President of the United States during the Great Depression in 1933. He helped all American people find faith in themselves. He brought hope, as he promised, and lots of action to office. He stated, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." He remained President of the United States until 1945.
