In 1902, "A Trip to the Moon" made its big day bou. In 1903, "The Great Train Robbery" was the first screen violence that "shot" into the world. Also, "The Life of an American Fireman" starred.
1905-1909
In 1905, in Pittsburgh, the first nickelodeon opened where you could see short films for 5c. On November 9, 1907, Katharine Hepburn, a very popular star, was born. In 1908, The National Board of Censorship was formed. In 1909, the Motion Picture Patents Company was made.
Theater
1900-1904
In 1900, with "Madam Butterfly," David Belasco might have captured Puccini. In 1902, Joseph Jefferson was in "Rip Van Wrinkle" and "The Cricket on the Hearth." In 1904, "The Cherry Orchard," bid a farewell to a dying way of Russian provincial life.
1905-1909
From 1904-1909, Jerome Kern had over 50 shows performed.
